Am I eligible for the test?

  • Free-of-charge testing services for persons under compulsory testing and persons in certain targeted groups (refer to list of eligible persons)
  • For general private use (such as for travelling abroad or working), you can undergo self-paid testing service with HK$240 for a test report

Opening hours and locations

The Community Testing Centres will be open daily from 8am to 1:30pm and from 2:30pm to 8pm. Deep cleaning and disinfection will be conducted when the centres close in the afternoon and at night.

FAQ

  • How can my personal privacy and data be protected?

    We strictly abide by The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the "PDPO"). In order to strengthen your information security and personal data protection, our laboratory has obtained the British Standards Association personal information security management system - BS 10012:2017 certification and ISO 27001 Information security management system certification. All your data will never be used for purposes other than detection. All tests will only be conducted in Hong Kong, and the test samples will not be sent outside Hong Kong. They will be destroyed after the test is completed.

  • What is the testing process?

    Please make an online appointment and settle the payment for testing in order to avoid the long queuing time:

    • Select the test location and payment online. After completing the reservation, you will receive the confirmation SMS
    • Arrive at the testing place on the day of appointment and inform the professional that you have made an appointment and the testing service you need
    • The results will be sent by SMS within 24 hours after sampling (ordinary service)
  • When will the test report be ready?

    Self-paid testing services:

    The results will be sent by SMS within about 24 hours after sample collection. You can download and print the report yourself.


    Targets group or others non-paid services:

    When your result is negative, an SMS notification will be sent to you only within 24 hours after sample collection.

    When your result is positive, you will receive a telephone call within 24 hours after sample collection.

  • Can I update or make changes to my personal information on the report?

    If you would like to update your personal information from the report, please send us an email P_enquiryhk@bgi.com to tell us in detail. We will help to update the report shortly.
